Kajang Municipal Council has organized Malaysia #QuranHour Program and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony with the collaboration of Selangor Public Library Corporation on 21st June 2017 (Friday) at Surau MPKj. This program was carried out simultaneously throughout Malaysia. It is also as part of supports from Selangor Public Library Corporation to Selangor Government to spend an hour, 1 million people to recite Al-Quran simultaneously either alone or together either at home, school, office or anywhere. Apart of that, to build frequency; to enjoy recite and Tadabur Al-Quran in line with ”Berbudi dan Penyayang” and “…….satu permulaan”
Khatam Al-Quran ceremony begins with opening speech by En Rajani Bin Rajimin, Penolong Pengarah Kanan Corporate and Community Development Department, Kajang Municipal Council. The ceremony was attended by 90 participants.
The ceremony ended with souvenir giving ceremony (Al-Quran with certificate and Egg Flower) delivered by MPKj Councilor Puan Hajah Zainin Bt Haji Samah. Religious Bureau Bauhinia Club MPKj would like to thank to Puan Hajah Zainun for the egg flower contribution.
It is hoped that with an hour at least to recite Al-Quran as a worship to Allah SWT. It also encourages civil servants specifically at Kajang Municipal Council to spend time at least an hour to recite Al-Quran.
