Smart Selangor Mega Sales Mini Carnival 2016 program (Karnival Mega Sales #SmartSelangor) took place for 3 days on 30th September 2016 until 2nd October 2016 at Dataran TESCO Semenyih gives encourage to the entrepreneur especially 90 Uptown D’Pelangi Semenyih’s entrepreneur, 125 Car Boot Sale Taman Pelangi Semenyih’s entrepreneur, 7 Foodtruck’s entrepreneur and 2 IKS Malaysia stall entrepreneur. Smart Selangor Mega Sales Mini Carnival 2016 organized by Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) Selangor and Pejabat Tanah Daerah Hulu Langat with the collaboration of TESCO Semenyih, MPKj Councillors MPP Zone 18, Parliament Member of Hulu Langat and Persatuan Penduduk Taman Pelangi Semenyih. #SmartSelangor Carnival Program also received support from ADUN Kajang, ADUN Bangi, ADUN Balakong, Pusat Wanita Berdaya (PWB), Tourism Selangor and Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd.
There a lot of entrepreneurship program such as ‘Selangor Social Media Retails Transformation Entrepreneurship (Smart)’ that helps to give inputs on Media Social role such as Facebook and Instagram to the entrepreneur towards entrepreneurship development. Apart of that, briefing slot and customer service counter from Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) were open to ease the Business Registration process. SSM Customer Service counter get the attention and a lot of entrepreneurs successfully register their business. Kajang Municipal Council thru Licensing and Hawking Department held a briefing session to the entrepreneur about business license application at PBT-MPKj premise. With this it could create oppurtunity and interest to the entrepreneurs to develop themselves. Apart of that, Hijrah Selangor Kajang and Hulu Langat Branch counter were open for facilitate entrepreneur to-be and entrepreneurs to apply micro-credit Usahawan Selangor loan. With the frequent guidance thru the Selangor State Government efforts will build the confidence and success to the Selangor’s entrepreneurs. In this program, YB Tuan Haji Dr. Yaakob Bin Sapari as Deputy EXCO Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Generasi Muda & Sukan, Kebudayaan dan Pembangunan Usahawan Negeri Selangor accompanied by Tuan Hamidi A. Hasan Pegawai Penyelaras DUN N24 Semenyih, YB Tuan Dr Che Rosli Bin Che Mat, Ahli Parliament Hulu Langat and Mr. Rajendra Kumar A/L Munusamy MPKj MPP Zone 18 Councilor Member were together delivering the Dana Usahawan Mikro Selangor (DUMS) to the successful entrepreneur.
Among the program is Introduction to Vocal Foundation 2016 Workshop with celebrity Roy and Creative Ethnic Creative 2016 Competition (Saturday and Sunday) which are preliminary and final stage with 40 participants. There were 60 participants and music fan participated in Introduction to Vocal Foundation 2016 Workshop with celebrity Roy, a lecturer at Pusat Kebudayaan UKM. The favorable response from the participants with the participation of PDK Kajang special kids and it is hoped that it will continue in the future. IKS products sale such as Bilal, recycle product such as handbag sale from Persatuan Seni Kreatif Malaysia, drink and food sale by Pusat Daya Wanita (PWB) DUN Kajang and Bangi and Syarikat Kagumas Catering has attracted the local community.
There was also activity that attracts kids, teenager and community planned by Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor thru Coloring Competition, Tricky Puzzle, Play Doh, Dancing Performance by Tadika Strawberry Wonderland Kajang, Aerobic and Zumba. At night the event was enlighten by Singing Performance by Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) Semenyih. The opening ceremony Car Bot Sale Persatuan Penduduk Taman Pelangi Semenyih took place on the last day Smart Selangor Mega Sales Mini Carnival 2016 (2nd Oct 2016). It was officiated by Y.B Tuan Haji Dr Yaakob Bin Sapari, Penolong EXCO Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Generasi Muda & Sukan, Kebudayaan Dan Pembangunan Usahawan Negeri Selangor witnessed by Pengarah Jabatan Pelesenan & Penjaja MPKj, Encik Kamaruzaman bin Salimin, Encik Rajendra Kumar A/L Munusamy Ahli Majlis MPKj Zon MPP 18, Encik Mohd Faudy Bin Mohd Juki representing Pegawai Penyelaras Dun N24 Semenyih and TESCO Semenyih’s General Manager Mr. Vishnu Varthana A/L Subramaniam. This carnival was held for the first time at Semenyih and it has a positive impact to the entrepreneur and visitors, consist of Semenyih resident from residential area and village. It is hoped that this program could increase market sale and the power of buying prudently by the entrepreneur and user.
