DIY Program Capan (Do It Yourself) Kajang Municipal Council Kindergarten No. 10/2017 was held on 19th September 2017 (Tuesday) at Kajang Municipal Council kindergarten.
The program is intended to instill the interest and creativity in children to create visual art work. Apart of that, to nurture the value of cooperation in group and could bring the fun experience to the children with their peers.
Capan is a stamp technique using natural or nature material that has certain ties. Capan is different with other stamping because of it is not use the stamping block.
Among materials that can be used are finger or footprint, hand print, ladyfinger, papaya branch, melon, onion, flower leaves and star fruit. Other than that, vegetables such as potato and carrot also can be used in Capan technique. The carving can be made based on the individual skills. There a lot of patterns can be produced with this technique. This activity is using watercolor and color paper. Children, teachers and the committee are among who were involved in this activity.
Overall it is hoped that this activity could foresee the cognitive development is to identify the kids’ talent at young age and to provide some useful input to them.
