Let’s Read Together for 10 Minutes MPKj 2019 Program was held on 23th April 2019 (Tuesday) at Kajang Municipal Council Library. The program organized by Kajang Municipal Council with the collaboration of Selangor Public Library Corporation (Kajang & Bangi). The program inaugurated by Director of Management Services Department, Kajang Municipal Council.
This program organized in conjunction with World Book Day. It is an annual event that runs simultaneously at 14 states targeted participation from all age and community. It is also to nurture the reading habits among community inspired by Earth Hour Campaign whereby people switch off their lights for 1 hour to save earth from leakage ozone problem.
During the program, there were crossword competition and colouring competition was carried out for Kajang Municipal Council children. Let’s Read Together for 10 Minutes activity also been carried out simultaneously in every department started at 11 am.
Officers, Council Member, staff, kindergarten children, teachers and committee were amongst party who involved in this activity.
Overall, it is hoped that this program could give some knowledge although it was a 10 minutes reading and could give some good impact as well as interest to read.
