On the night 18th August 2022, closing ceremony of National Evaluation Session Gombak - Hulu Langat Geopark (GHL Geopark) was held.
The event was officiated by YB Tuan Hee Loy Sian, Selangor State Tourism Exco and Chairman of the GHL Geopark Advisory Council. Also present at the event is Yang DiPertua Kajang Municipal Council Tuan Haji Najmuddin bin Jemain, Tuan Hj Reduan bin Idris, Director of Development Planning Department, Pn Nursilawati bt Abd Rahim, Town and Country Planning Officer, Development Planning Department.
The national assessment session of Gombak - Hulu Langat Geopark (GHL Geopark) was held on 15-18 August 2022. The MPKj area was assessed on 18 August 2022 which included the Dusun Tua Hot Spring Geosite, IKTBN Hot Spring, Artesian Hot Spring, Syis Jelebu , Semenyih Dam, Tekala River Waterfall and Semenyih Granite. GeoSchool at Dusun Tua National School and GeoCommunity at Sangkot Garden.

Thank you also to Dato' Dr. Mokhtar bin Saidin, Chairman of the National Geopark Executive Committee for the sharing and guides towards national and international geoparks.
Hopefully the GHL Geopark evaluation session will receive recognition as a National Geopark and subsequently become a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2025.
