LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1976
This act was legislated with the objectives of itemizing the establishment, roles, running and powers regarding the local governments as provided by the law. Ii functions as an important act to establish a certain Local Authority such as the Kajang Municipal Council. It also controls all the administrative matters and runnings of a Council, determining the local jurisdiction and enforcement actions, the legislations of by-laws, manifesting the revenues and other matters relating to Local Authority. ROAD, DRAINAGE & BUILDING ACT 1974
This act was legislated with the objectives of controlling the development activities and projects within the area under the jurisdiction of the Council especially regarding the matters relating to road, drainage and buildings. Preparations and constructions of roads, drains and buildings and earthworks must abide by the approval standards and guidelines which have been stipulated to ensure the comveniences of the public.

TOWN & RURAL PLANNING ACT 1976
This act was legislated with the objectives of ensuring that development plannings and projects carried out in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Council in proper order and arrangement according to the zones and criteria which have been stipulated. This is crucial as the development which is being planned is suitable with the local condition and inline with the current development circulation.

BUILDING AND JOINT PROPERTY ACT (MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT) 2007 (ACT 663)
This act was legislated with the objectives of accelarating and systemizing the matters regarding the maintenance and management of buildings and joint properties impeccably. It also itemizes the powers and responsibilities of the authorities in handling the runnings and management to ensure that these maintenance and management can be implemented properly and effectively.

STRATA TITLE ACT 1985 ( Act 318 )
This act was legislated with the objectives of facilitating the subdivision of buildings into lots and the disposal of registered titles. It is to ensure the uniformity of laws and policies relating to holdings of the lots in the buildings, registration of titles relating to the lots in the buildings , the transfer of ownerships relating to these lots in the buildings, leases and mortgages relating to the lots in these buildings and the rights and interests of the lots in the buildings.
