SEMENYIH – 31st March 2022 (Khamis), Climbing and Inspection of Recreation Facility Upgrading Project & Opening of the New Bukit Broga, Semenyih took place.  This leisure program was attended by Yang DiPertua of the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), Tuan Haji Najmuddin bin Jemain together with the Director of the MPKj Landscape and Recreation Department (JLR), the Director of the MPKj Development Planning Department (JPP), the Director of the MPKj Community Development Department (JPM) ), Director of MPKj's Corporate Planning and Public Relations Unit (UPKPA), contractor representatives, officials and staff from the Landscape and Recreation Department as well as MPKj's internal departments were also invited.

This climbing and inspection program aims to review and check the quality of the contractor's work and test the new track route and facilities on site according to the work specifications that have been set.

Through an allocation from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) the project estimated cost of RM300,000.00, the MPKj has collaborated with the Hulu Langat District/Land Office and the Selangor State Forestry Department in planning the area's land used for the new track route and suitable recreational facilities with climbing activity at Bukit Broga.

Previously, the implementation of this upgrade project also included site clearance & new routes; installation of tourist signs, welcome, information & track distance; construction of gates & entrances; installation of safety ropes for climbing, installation of rest benches and planting of ornamental shrubs.

Through the implementation of the project, MPKj is very committed in ensuring that every project development/upgrading recreational facilities for the community is well completed, with quality, integrity and in full compliance with work specifications; in addition to being able to create an active and sustainable community in line with the MPKj Mission in creating a conducive residence by providing municipal services and infrastructure towards a quality life, as well as in line with the MPKj Strategic Plan 2021-2025 Core 4: Providing Quality Municipal Services.
