Crime Preventive Campaign With Sungai Chua Kajang Community (Local Agenda 21) for DUN Kajang was held on 4th June 2016 (Saturday) and located at Sungai Chua Kajang Market. The program organized by Kajang Municipal Council and officiated by Datuk Seri Wan Azizah, ADUN Kajang.
The program intended to educate community about safety and self defense as safety issue is not only government or local authority responsibility but it is also self responsibility. Besides that, it creates collaboration between local community, local authority and Royal Malaysian Police. It is also to provide some knowledge to the public about safety level of residential area that having voluntary controlled or guarded.
The activities during the program are handover of torch light, vest, cap, and whistle to 5 residence society and exhibition from enforcement agency.
The parties involved were residence society, public residence, Malaysia Civil Defence Department, Voluntary Fire Fighter, Police, National Anti-Drug Agency, Social Welfare Department, MES, Syarikat Pembinaan Sri Gunung and Kajang Municipal Council.
It is hoped that the program could create awareness among the residence in taking care of their property and community responsibility towards local community.
