Earth Green Carnival 2016 successfully attracted 250 participation of local community at Recreational Lake Park Sungai Chua Kajang on 23rd October 2016 (Sunday). This program organized by JKKK Kg. Baru Sungai Chua JKKK Bukit Angkat and JKKK Kwan Tung Baru with the collaboration of Kajang Municipal Council. Earth Green Carnival 2016 has been carried out throughout Selangor to conserve the environment and to expand the usage of green technology.
The present of Y.B Elizabeth Wong Keat Ping Exco Pelancongan, Alam Sekitar, Teknologi Hijau dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna Negeri Selangor together with ADUN Kajang Y.B Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Bt Wan Ismail are to support the cleaning the Sg. Chua Lake campaign by throwing ‘mudball’ acting as organic molecules agent that break down such as garbage waste, mud, heavy metal and many more. Earth Green Campaign Program continues with Euginia tree planting at river edge. MPKj councilors that present at the program are Encik Mohd Rashidi Bin Hassan, Encik Lee Learn Eng, Encik Raman A/L Elangovan serta Ketua Kampung Baru Sg.Chua Encik Seow Zhu Xia, Ketua Kampung Bukit Angkat Encik Fong Thiam Fah dan Ketua Kampung Baru Kwantung. Sg. Chua Lake program was the pioneer of the program and the program will be carried out at the other district afterwards. The program emphasized the usage of green technology such as solar energy etc and environmental care by the community in the involved area. The program starts here within 3 months.
Among the attractive activities are, they have to visit and do some DIY (Do It Yourself) activity such as Handcraft CRC, DIY Sewing bag from used banner, Health DIY, SandArt and Composting from Big Tree Waste Disposal Sdn Bhd. To the participants who successfully done DIY activities will get the stamp and eligible to win 10 Lucky Draw and 3 Grand Prize are Bicycle sponsored by TLS Fitness. It is hoped that the community will be together to take care and conserve the environment and to maintain green concept.
