Kajang Municipal Council with the collaboration with Selangor Tourism has organized LA21 Program - River Care 2016 Program on 30th April 2016 at Hutan Lipur Sungai Congkak. The program intended to nurture love nature spirit and the importance of shared responsibility to preserve the environment.
At 9.30am, Timbalan Yang Di Pertua Kajang Municipal Council, Tuan Haji Zamani Ahmad Bin Haji Mansor officiating the River Care 2016 Program. After the official ceremony, the program participants throw the Mud Ball into the river as a symbolic inauguration ceremony. There were 150 participants participated in this program. Among activities that has been carried out are:
1. Aerobic
2. Tree planting
3. Gotong royong
4. Coloring Competition
5. Mud Ball by Syarikat Pembinaan Sri Gunung
6. Free Health Screening by Kajang Plaza Medical Centre
Among agencies that participate in River Care 2016 Program are Ahli Majlis Mukim Dusun Tua, Syarikat Pembinaan Sri Gunung, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Kajang Plaza Medical Centre and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.
